Martello Gold Project — Wabigoon Greenstone Belt, Ontario, Canada
The Martello Gold Project is the principal asset of Richmond Hill Resources plc (AIM: RHR), a gold exploration company listed on the AIM market of the London Stock Exchange. Martello comprises 161 claims covering approximately 6,015 hectares in the Wabigoon Greenstone Belt, south-east of Dryden in north-western Ontario, Canada — an established gold district with road access, drilling contractors and supporting infrastructure nearby. The project is 100% owned through Richmond Hill’s wholly owned Canadian subsidiary, Rawlings Mining Corp., and hosts past-producing gold mines including the flagship Sakoose mine.

Martello sits in the Wabigoon Greenstone Belt of north-western Ontario, one of the Archean greenstone belts of the Superior Province that host the majority of Ontario’s historic gold production. The project lies south-east of the town of Dryden, a regional service centre on the Trans-Canada Highway, with highway access to within approximately 10 kilometres of the property and gravel roads within it. Drill rigs, crews and assay laboratories are available regionally, allowing exploration to proceed without remote-site logistics.
The Martello land package consolidates ground with recorded gold production and a long exploration history. The Sakoose mine produced 8,028 tonnes at a recovered grade of 0.476 oz/ton gold (approximately 16.3 g/t), as recorded in Ontario Geological Survey open-file reporting.
Historic surface sampling across the project has returned high-grade results, including a grab sample of up to 1,050 g/t gold.
Sampling results in 2026 included:
Grab and chip samples are selective by nature and are not necessarily representative of mineralisation across the project.
Gold mineralisation at Martello is structurally controlled and hosted in quartz vein systems associated with felsic intrusive rocks, consistent with mesothermal (orogenic) gold systems typical of the Wabigoon Greenstone Belt. Interpretation of the 2026 magnetic survey and historical data indicates that the Sakoose area may contain multiple subparallel mineralised structures rather than a single vein, which has been resolved into five subordinate prospecting targets surrounding the historic mine workings.
Since acquiring Martello, Richmond Hill Resources has completed:
Sakoose combines recorded high-grade historical production, workings that constrain the geometry of known mineralisation, and geophysical and structural evidence for additional untested structures around and beyond the historic mine. The 2026 target ranking placed Sakoose first among Martello’s seven priority targets, and Richmond Hill’s exploration strategy is focused on drill-testing the continuation of mineralisation at and around the historic mine.

Sakoose is a past-producing gold mine within the Martello Gold Project and Richmond Hill Resources’ flagship exploration target. Historical records published by the Ontario Geological Survey report production of 8,028 tonnes at 0.476 oz/ton gold (approximately 16.3 g/t). Independent target ranking in 2026 identified Sakoose as the highest-ranked exploration area on the project.
Work completed in 2026 includes a 773.7 line-kilometre drone magnetic survey with 3D magnetic inversion modelling, a district-wide historical data compilation, a maiden diamond drill programme of seven holes totalling 1,307 metres at the Tabor mine area, independent ranking of seven priority targets, and surface field programmes across the Sakoose, New Church Lake and Maw target areas.
